Awards and Nominations
Clint Eastwood has won the Academy Award for Best Director, twice till now, for Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby. His two movies, Mystic River and Letters from Iowa Jima, were nominated for Best Picture (although they did not win the award). He has won a host of other awards including one in early 2007 where he was awarded the highest civilian distinction in France, Legion d’honneur, at a ceremony in Paris where French President Jacques Chirac told Eastwood that he was the best.
